Days 1 - 3
Leroo La Tau - visions across the salt pan
Leroo La Tau is situated on the western bank of the Boteti River, northwest of Khumaga Village and about 140 kilometres southeast of Maun. Salt pan magic, explore the wide open spaces of this extraordinary location – Leroo La Tau translates as ‘lion’s paw’ and the surrounding area features not only abundant lion, but also zebra and wildebeest, along with a host of other species. There is also the possibility of seeing the rare white rhinoceros.
Accommodation: en-suite chalets with thatched roofs and glass frontage to emphasise the outlook. Each en-suite chalet has wood flooring throughout and an extended wooden veranda accessed by glass sliding doors.
Days 4 - 6
Xugana Island - remote Okavango experience
Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a private concession and takes full advantage of this magnificent site, offering guests stunning views across the landscape. Xugana Lagoon is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta. In the midst of the Kalahari sands, the Okavango is Africa’s largest and most awe-inspiring oasis. Explore the area by dugout canoe and see wildlife from a different perspective.
Accommodation: large raised reed and thatch lagoon facing chalets, with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks situated on the shaded fringe of the island. The lodge swimming pool and gardens are a perfect place to relax.
Days 7 - 9
Savute Safari Lodge - Big Game country
Situated on the banks of Botswana’s fabled Stolen River, Savute Safari Lodge is a traditional thatched safari lodge in a setting of singular beauty. Stretching from the Linyanti River all the way to Savute Marsh, the winding waterways of the Savute Channel have pumped life into the western section of Chobe National Park for many thousands of generations. Resident elephants make their way to the Savute Channel to drink, bathe and play. A wildlife extravaganza awaits you!
Accommodation: the thatched chalets, built of local timber, have been elegantly furnished in calm neutral tones to blend with the natural environment, feature expansive private decks, a bedroom and lounge area and en-suite facilities.
Days 10 - 12
Muchenje Lodge - Chobe river safaris
Muchenje Safari Lodge is situated high on an escarpment on the quieter western side of Botswana’s Chobe National Park. Muchenje offers the discerning traveller a unique wilderness experience in a stunning location with unspoilt, game viewing experiences. The elegant lodge, incorporates a dining deck with amazing views, bar, viewing deck and a natural swimming pool. Muchenje is located on the western side of Chobe and away from the more popular areas of Chobe.
