Itinerary – Victoria Falls Holiday
Days 1 - 3
Kwara Camp - Okavango mokoro magic
This beautiful camp overlooks a secluded lagoon in the northern Okavango Delta. This region offers a contrasting experience, as its location allows access to the permanent waterways of the Delta as well as an expanse of dry land with quality game viewing. Mokoro trips navigate the shallow edges of the lagoon in front of the camp, under the watchful eye of resident hippos. This is often combined with a guided walk on the opposite island.
Accommodation: traditionally styled tents on raised decks, each with superb views of the lagoon. All tents are en-suite with both inside and outside showers so you can really be at one with nature. One of the Okavango’s best kept secrets.
Days 4 - 6
Lagoon Camp - enormous herds of game
Lagoon Camp is perched on the banks of the wild Kwando River, overlooking the Mudumu National Park in the Namibian Caprivi Strip. It has a well-earned reputation for big game and large herds of elephant and buffalo are not uncommon. This concentration of game attracts the attention of large predators. The Lagoon wild dog pack regularly den close to the camp and excellent viewing opportunities have led to Lagoon’s reputation as the place to see wild dog.
Accommodation: the camp has only eight custom designed enormous canvas rooms, with unique mosquito net walls, allowing an unobstructed flow of cooling breezes and stunning views. This really is luxury in the bush!
Days 7 - 9
Chobe Princess Houseboat - Chobe River
Relax and unwind on board the luxurious Chobe Princess Houseboat while cruising on the Chobe River, along the banks of the Chobe National Park. A relaxed and intimate River Safari experience. Serenely float down river along the edge of Chobe National Park and see the elephants come down to drink and wallow in the mud. As you drift down the river you are given a unique perspective to see wildlife, you do not even have to get up from your sun lounger to see it!
Accommodation: the en-suite cabins offer superb views onto the ever-changing landscapes over the river and beyond, whilst the front cabin boasts its own private deck. Be lulled to sleep by the peaceful ambience of the Chobe River.
