Itinerary – Luxury Fly-in Safari
Day 1
Am Weinberg - luxury in Windhoek
Situated in the upmarket suburb of Klein Windhoek, 30 minutes from the city’s international airport, the beautiful Am Weinberg Estate’s Boutique Hotel provides all of the exclusivity and privacy you might expect from this luxurious accommodation in the cosmopolitan city of the Namibian capital, Windhoek. Accommodation: indulge yourself with a stay in one of the lavish Courtyard Fountain rooms, with doors opening onto a beautiful plant and water filled courtyard where you can sit outside and breathe in the peaceful ambiance.
Days 2 - 3
Kwessi Dunes Lodge - desert landscapes
Nestled in 15,000-hectares of exclusive desert terrain and within-in one of Namibia’s biggest privately-owned reserves close to Sossusvlei. The special attraction here is the vast, desert vistas, and amazing star gazing opportunities in one of the least light-polluted areas in the world. Scenic drives are often combined with sundowners in the dunes. Walking safaris, day trips to Sossusvlei and Bushman walks, all to enhance your Namibian experience.
Accommodation: beautiful, comfortable chalets all with canvas walls and thatched roofs. Each bedroom has a separate ‘star gazer’ room, completely open to the sky, and the perfect spot to watch the celestial theatre show above.
Days 4 - 5
Hoanib Valley Camp - Namib Desert
Deep in north-western Namibia, Kaokoland is identified by its vast open desert wilderness, sand dunes and swathes of towering rocky mountains. A spectacular area with unique geology, wildife and culture. The Kaokoveld Desert is home to the renowned prehistoric Welwitschia plant. There are few better places to spend restful times contemplating the beauty around you than from the privacy of your veranda before enjoying exceptional dining.
Accommodation: luxurious en-suite tents blend almost perfectly into the environment, exuding a modern safari style that reflects its surrounds in the furnishing and design. The camp is entirely solar powered.
Days 6 - 7
Shipwreck Lodge - delights of the coast
Shipwreck Lodge is in the famous Skeleton Coast National Park, only 45km from Mowe Bay in North-western Namibia. An amazing array of wildlife and flora manages to survive in this harsh but beautiful environment. Ocean fog creeps over the shoreline. Home to a diversity of wildlife including seabird colonies, Cape fur seals, zebra, gemsbok, lion, desert-adapted elephant and many more. This coast is desolate but breathtakingly beautiful.
Accommodation: 10 luxury ‘shipwreck-style’ cabins spread out along the sand dunes. Wake up to spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of crackling from the wood-burning stove.
