Itinerary – Wilderness Camping Safari
Days 1 - 2
Chobe Bakwena - boat safari to see elephants
Chobe Bakwena is a beautiful eco-luxury retreat on the banks of the Chobe River. The lodge is located outside of Kasane, close to the Chobe National Park, and ideally positioned for the place where Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana meet. Home to an abundance of elephant and other wildlife. Track the game on open safari vehicles, enjoy an idyllic boat cruise down the river to watch the elephant coming to drink, try out a nature walk or a visit to the local village.
Accommodation: the lodge comprises ten rondavel style chalets, all situated under the shady canopy of Acacia trees. They face the stunning Chobe River, situated privately away from one another to ensure the most relaxing of stays.
Days 3 - 5
Mobile Safari, Savuti - excellent game viewing
This mobile safari takes you through the Savuti region of the Chobe National Park, located between the Okavango Delta and the town of Kasane, north east of Botswana. Savuti is famous for its lone elephant bulls, its lions and hyenas as well as the zebra and wildebeest migrations. Other game one can hope to see include: giraffe, tsessebe, warthog, black-backed jackal, leopard, cheetah, bat-eared fox, impala, wild dog, and kudu. Incredible and personal wildlife sightings.
Accommodation: en-suite 3 x 3m walk-in dome tents, iron beds with linen, in the heart of Savuti. The luxury of the mobile safari, is the ability to uproot the camp and change location without a trace. A new, exciting view each day.
Days 6 - 8
Mobile Safari, Khwai - carnivore sightings
The Khwai region can be described as a combination of pretty lagoons and winding channels of papyrus, which is scenically beautiful and naturally peaceful. The area, which borders the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve, is a great area for game viewing with wild dog and leopard being sighted frequently. The Khwai concession runs along the Khwai River bordering the northern part of the Moremi, known for remaining very active with game.
Accommodation: en-suite 3 x 3m walk-in dome tents, iron beds with linen, be lulled to sleep by the cicadas. Each day brings a new adventure while you get up close and personal with spectacular landscapes and remarkable animals.
Days 9 - 10
Moremi Crossings - mokoro serenity
Moremi Crossings Camp is built overlooking Chiefs Island, crowned by palm trees and surrounded by the Moremi Game Reserve’s game rich seasonal floodplains. Game viewing activities offered at the camp include sunset motor boat cruises, island bush walks and mokoro trails. Explore Moremi and the Delta in style.
