Days 1 - 2
Southern Sun Hotel - visit Maputo
Explore the Mozambican capital of Maputo. The city has been heavily influenced by travellers and traders from Africa, Asia, and Europe, making the it diverse and lively. There are many turn-of-the-century buildings in downtown jacaranda-lined streets, which nestle with an expansive Municipal Market. Sample famous prawns in peri-peri sauce, a spicy concoction made from an especially hot African chili pepper.
Accommodation: a deluxe en-suite room and the rich Portuguese heritage of Mozambique flows through the décor. Located on the Maputo beachfront, this hotel is a popular haven.
Days 3 – 5
Dunes De Dovela – remote beach stay
The Lodge is settled on top of the secondary dunes that overlook the Indian Ocean. Take the paths through the dunes and the coastal forest to Dovela village where you can explore the area and meet the local people. Alternatively, you can relax on your private terrace, over looking the aquamarine sea and watch the Humpback Whales (June to October), or walk down to the pristine beach and snorkel the reef.
Accommodation: semi-luxury dome tents pitched on wooden platforms with a private terrace. The shared toilets and showers ensure an incredible view on the site and the Ocean.
Days 6 – 9
Baia Sonambula – beach activities

Days 14 – 15
