Going on a safari holiday is an incredible adventure, but it’s the right guide that truly makes it unforgettable. And that’s exactly what happened on our recent trip to Discover Eswatini in September with Jenny and Sense Earth. Jenny didn’t just show us the amazing array of animals; she welcomed us into what she calls her second home, sharing her passion and her incredible spirit with us every step of the way.
A Warm Welcome
From the moment we stepped off the minibus at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, Jenny was there waiting for us with a joyful smile and an enthusiasm that was totally infectious! She seemed completely at home in the environment and that confidence immediately put us at ease. From the carefully chosen transfer company, to the expert rangers and accommodations, she had considered every last detail, ensuring we felt completely looked after.
Personalised Holiday In Every Way
Jenny made our holiday so personalised; it wasn’t just a standard tour. She listened to what we were excited about and changed things up on a day-to-day basis depending on the weather. She didn’t just point out the larger “Big Five” animals, she made sure to stop and show us the little things, like animal tracks, a specific bird or a unique plant; we’d have never noticed on our own. It felt so immersive, like we were truly a part of the Eswatini landscape. And she was so knowledgeable! Her stories about the animals and the land were so engaging and articulate; you could just feel her commitment to Eswatini in every word.
What made the trip truly special, though, was how relatable Jenny was. She shared stories, making the whole experience feel less like a tour and more like an adventure with a great friend. She was so thoughtful, always making sure we were all comfortable and had the best view. Jenny’s passion for her work and Eswatini was absolutely contagious. The holiday was this perfect mix of adventure and comfort, a reassurance that we were in the best hands, right in the heart of nature.
Jenny’s connection to the land was something truly special. She had this quiet strength and deep reverence for the bush that didn’t need to be loud or flashy. It was in the way she listened, in the way she pointed things out, and in the unspoken understanding she had with the world around her. This kind of genuine love for nature is something truly extraordinary and made our safari feel like we were being let in on a secret.
Heart of our Safari!
On reflection, our trip wasn’t just a holiday; it was a truly life-changing experience. Jenny showed us a side of Eswatini we never would have seen otherwise. She wasn’t just our guide; she was the heart of our safari!
Thank you, Jenny, for everything …Guests from the Discover Eswatini group September 2025
